- Advice on the status of Scallop in Scallop Production Areas (SPAs) 1 to 6 in the Bay of Fundy (BoF) is requested annually by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) Resource Management to help determine a Total Allowable Catch (TAC, meat weight) in support of the fishery. The purpose of this report is to update the stock status of Scallop in SPAs 1 to 6 with data from the 2021 scallop survey and fishery (October 1 to September 30). The last Regional Advisory Process of the BoF Scallop stocks occurred in 2015 (DFO 2016, Nasmith et al. 2016); updates have been conducted since. This Science Response Report results from the Regional Science Response Process of November 22, 2021, on the Stock Status Update of Bay of Fundy Scallop in Scallop Production Areas (SPAs) 1A, 1B, and 3–6.

- Gestion des ressources de Pêches et Océans Canada (MPO) demande que soit formulé chaque année un avis scientifique sur l’état du stock des zones de production de pétoncles (ZPrP) 1 à 6 de la baie de Fundy afin d’établir un total autorisé des captures (TAC, poids de la chair) à l’appui de la pêche. Le présent rapport a pour objet de mettre à jour l’état du stock de pétoncles dans les ZPrP 1 à 6 à partir des données du relevé sur les pétoncles et sur la pêche de 2021 (1er octobre au 30 septembre). Le dernier processus consultatif régional sur les stocks de pétoncles de la baie de Fundy a eu lieu en 2015 (MPO 2016, Nasmith et al., 2016); des mises à jour ont été effectuées depuis. La présente réponse des Sciences découle du processus régional de réponse des Sciences du 22 novembre 2021, sur la mise à jour de l’état du stock de pétoncles de la baie de Fundy dans les zones de production de pétoncles (ZPrP) 1A, 1B et 3 à 6.
